Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 26 March 2026

1. About Docketory

Docketory provides permitted legal support services within the meaning of the Legal Services Act 2007. We are not solicitors, barristers, or a regulated law firm. We are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or the Bar Standards Board (BSB). Communications with us are not protected by legal professional privilege.

2. Services We Provide

We provide legal guidance, document drafting, case assessment, evidence preparation, negotiation with third parties, and representation at tribunals. We do not perform reserved legal activities as defined by Schedule 2 of the Legal Services Act 2007. Specifically, we do not:

(a) File documents with any court on your behalf; (b) appear as advocates in court proceedings; (c) conduct litigation; (d) administer oaths; (e) provide notarial services; or (f) carry out reserved instrument activities. Where a reserved legal activity is required, we will refer you to a partnered solicitor whose fees are determined separately.

3. Free Assessment

Our free assessment confirms whether we can assist with your matter, identifies the applicable service, and states the fee. The free assessment does not constitute legal advice and does not create a client relationship. Active work on your case begins only after payment of the applicable service fee.

4. Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Service fees are payable in full before work begins. Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment constitutes acceptance of these terms and creation of a service agreement between you and Docketory.

5. Refund Policy

For parking charge notice (PCN) and penalty charge notice appeals: if we are unable to get the charge cancelled, we will refund your service fee in full. This guarantee does not apply if:

(a) You had already submitted an appeal before engaging us; (b) you paid the charge during the appeal process; (c) the matter escalated to county court proceedings; (d) you did not provide requested information or documents within the timeframes we set; or (e) you did not allow us to complete the appeals process. For all other services, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

6. Your Obligations

You must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information. You must respond to our requests for information within the timeframes we specify. You must not submit documents to courts, tribunals, or third parties without our review. You are responsible for meeting court deadlines, filing documents, and attending hearings in person. We will remind you of deadlines we are aware of, but ultimate responsibility remains with you.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docketory's total liability arising from or in connection with our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including but not limited to lost earnings, penalties imposed by courts or enforcement agencies, or costs incurred with third-party solicitors. We do not guarantee any particular outcome for your case.

8. Data Protection & GDPR

We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full details of how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the processing described therein.

9. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management, and optional analytics cookies to improve our service. You can manage your cookie preferences via the consent banner that appears on your first visit. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Intellectual Property

All documents, templates, and guidance we produce for your case are provided for your personal use in connection with that case only. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish our work product. The Docketory name, logo, and website content remain our intellectual property.

11. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with our service, contact us at support@docketory.co.uk. We aim to resolve complaints within 14 days. Because we are not a regulated law firm, the Legal Ombudsman does not have jurisdiction over our services. However, you retain the right to pursue any complaint through the courts.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
